About
Photography, for me, has never been just about images, but about matter, time, and gesture.
Practice
I grew up among cameras, chemicals, and laboratory spaces, in an early and direct contact with photographic practice that shaped a deep relationship with historical and handcrafted photographic processes.
Education & Background
I hold a degree in Photography from the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar and have developed, for over two decades, a body of work centered on research and practice in historical and alternative photographic processes, particularly large-format photography, glass negatives, and handmade printing methods.
Workshops & Research
My practice moves between image-making, material experimentation, and teaching, exploring photography as an object, a physical trace, and a temporal process rather than a purely representational medium.
